Biography
Managing Director of DSM Ventures since 2012, now dsm-firmenich Ventures. Built world-class investment and startup management team in the US and Europe, which invested in 60+ startups. Thereby set the stage for multitude of strategic agreements with dsm-firmenich’s businesses, enabling early access to and experience in new domains, meanwhile realizing healthy investment returns on portfolio exits.
Extensive hands-on startup operating experience as CEO of OrthAlign Inc. (2008-2011) and IsoTis (ISOT, acquired by Integra Life Sciences, 1997-2007).
Currently board member of Vivici BV, Hologram Inc, Miach Orthopeadics Inc and MassChallenge Switzerland. Previously served on dozen plus other startup and strategic innovation partnership boards in US and Europe.
Early career in international advisory and investment.
Worked and lived in Europe 1988-2003, US 2004-2023, relocated to Switzerland in 2023.
