dsm-firmenich, innovators in nutrition, health, and beauty, has once again partnered with PANTONE®, the global color authority and provider of professional color language standards and digital solutions for the design community, to create a unique fragrance inspired by the PANTONE® Color of the Year for 2025, PANTONE® 17-1230 Mocha Mousse.

This partnership fuses science with the art of color, fragrance, and flavor, resulting in Mocha Mousse, a scent that seamlessly unites delight and care and brings a new dimension to wellbeing. This is achieved through unique, innovative ingredients, such as Mocha Mousse Smell-The-Taste™, developed exclusively by dsm-firmenich using a proprietary technology that translates multisensorial taste experiences into fragrances, and imparts emotion and texture into fragrance creations.

The fragrance boasts an A-score rating on the EcoScent™ compass tool for people and community, underscoring dsm-firmenich's award-winning efforts to shape a sustainable future for perfumery.

Available as an Eau de Parfum and Candle, this decadent blend opens with cocoa bean, melts into a salted peanut, and lingers with vanilla bean. PANTONE® 17-1230 Mocha Mousse is a warming, rich brown hue, embodying both organic aspects and a natural allure. This soft, evocative color nurtures a suggestion of pleasure and deliciousness reminiscent of mocha mousse’s depth. Infused with subtle elegance, this experiential color and fragrance embodies a sensual refinement and a sophisticated yet unpretentious sense of luxury.

dsm-firmenich Master Perfumer Honorine Blanc (creator of Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia, Valentino Born in Roma, and YSL Black Opium), based in New York, created the Mocha Mousse scent. “Mocha Mousse is an enchanting color that reveals new depths with each glance. Its indulgent, satisfying presence evokes serenity and warmth. I wanted to capture this enveloping feeling in the fragrance,” Honorine explained. “Like savoring rich Mocha Mousse, it creates an instant craving. The scent embodies an intense yet velvety sensuality – where luxurious comfort meets seduction. It is a celebration of softness as a profound and captivating force.”

In addition to this fragrance, dsm-firmenich developed a spectrum of seven additional fragrances inspired by Mocha Mousse, across various formats including Eau de Toilette (EDT), candles, body wash, fabric conditioner, and hair mist, crafted by perfumers around the world.

Evocative, enveloping, and captivating, dsm-firmenich and Honorine Blanc created the Mocha Mousse fragrance to embody a moment of indulgence, seamlessly blending science and artistry to celebrate the harmonious connection between color, fragrance, and emotion.
