dsm-firmenich unveils the Cloud Dancer fragrance collection inspired by PANTONE® Color of the Year 2026

dsm-firmenich, innovators in nutrition, health, and beauty, has once again partnered with PANTONE®, the global color authority and provider of professional color language standards and digital solutions for the design community, to create a unique fragrance collection that translates PANTONE® Color of the Year for 2026, Cloud Dancer PANTONE® 11-4201 into scent. dsm-firmenich has been the official sensory partner of PANTONE® Color of the Year since 2001, given its mastery of reimagining colors into scents. This partnership fuses science with the art of color and fragrance, resulting in scents that seamlessly unite delight and care, bringing a new dimension to serenity and wellbeing.

To match the Color of the Year for 2026, dsm-firmenich presents the Cloud Dancer fragrance collection, inspired by rhythm, tempo, and emotion. The collection features ten fragrances in different formats: eau de parfum, eau de toilette, a candle, body mist, face and body cream, room spray, and liquid hand soap, that translate this lofty shade of white into scent. The Cloud Dancer collection evokes the precise mood of the color thanks to dsm-firmenich’s proprietary emotiOn™ breakthrough neuroscientific program that unlocks the power of fragrance, plus emotiCode™ focus, fragrance design rules that help consumers achieve increased mental performance. Through these innovations and with their expertise and skill, perfumers choose the right ingredients to express this shade that reads like a breath of fresh air. It is a color that expresses serenity and calm, like white florals that express the same emotional tone. From top to bottom, these scents are imbued with a feeling of serenity, a calming influence in a fast-paced world.

dsm-firmenich Perfumer Coralie Spicher, based in Paris, created the hero fragrance Cloud Dancer eau de parfum, choosing white patchouli for its airy and ethereal feel. “Cloud Dancer is such an inspirational name and color with poetic facets, it is a color in motion — not fast, but slow and delicate, carried by the wind, deeply connected to nature,” she shares. “I wanted something white to reveal patchouli in a softer light. It’s my interpretation of a white patchouli – something that quiets the noise yet awakens the imagination. I was inspired by the notion of contrasts when creating Cloud Dancer and so I mixed coconut with an overdose of Clearwood® Prisma for intensity.”

The Cloud Dancer fragrance collection was created using dsm-firmenich’s innovative ingredients, such as Patchouli Heart SFE, Coconut NaturePrint®, and Clearwood® Prisma. With cutting-edge techniques, such as SFE (Supercritical Fluid Extraction), an extraction process that preserves the natural profile of an ingredient, and NaturePrint®, a proprietary collection of fragrance materials that uses headspace technology to capture the essence of an ingredient, while preserving biodiversity, Cloud Dancer is a consciously designed collection. Clearwood® Prisma is also a biotech ingredient, with an intense woody-patchouli character, enhanced oakmoss, and facets of amber.
