Feike Sijbesma joins Global CEO Council (GCC) of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC).

Royal DSM, the global Life Sciences and Materials Sciences company, today announced that Feike Sijbesma, its Chief Executive Officer, has joined the Global CEO Council (GCC) of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC). This prestigious committee, consisting of 14 CEO’s from global, leading multinational companies, will support the Chinese leadership, on several topics, including innovation, urbanization and sustainability.
Feike Sijbesma, Chief Executive Officer, DSM said: “I feel honored and privileged to be a member of this prestigious committee. It reflects China’s interest and commitment to further develop the country in an innovative and sustainable way, addressing the topics and opportunities China is being confronted with. The Global CEO Council (GCC) of the CPAFFC is created to further enhance people’s friendship, further international cooperation and common development. The GCC will directly communicate with the Chinese leadership on better understanding, friendship, cooperation and common development between China and the world.

The CPAFFC Global CEO Council (CPAFFC GCC) is created by the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), an organization engaged in people-to-people diplomacy of China. With the purpose of enhancing people’s friendship, furthering international cooperation, promoting world peace and common development. CPAFFC GCC with its First Round-Table Summit is the effort and very important communication platform by holding the highest level of direct dialogue with the Chinese leadership.
The First CPAFFC GCC Round-Table Summit was focused on the theme of how to improve mutual understanding for common and sustainable development especially in the areas of innovation and urbanization by taking into account the importance of new investments and development being pursued in a green and sustainable fashion and the need for an improved growth process.
The CPAFFC Global CEO Council consists of CEO’s of IBM (USA), Dell (USA), Cola-Cola (USA), Walt Disney (USA), Dow Chemical (USA), Honeywell (USA), Cummings (USA), Prologis (USA), MetLife (USA), Standard Chartered Bank (UK), Volkswagen (Germany), Carrefour (France) and BHP Billiton (Australia) and Royal DSM (the Netherlands).
